GUARD TRAK in car cameras have been designed in Australia, specifically to suit Australia’s harsh conditions, our cameras use quality automotive grade components throughout to ensure reliable results and long lasting performance, the chassis’s are constructed from an PC-ABS composite material designed to withstand temperatures of over 100 degree Celsius, our cameras all feature 12v to 24v input for direct vehicle connection which allows a wider choice of installation options, al GUARD TRAK cameras come with low voltage cut off modules as standard and use Super Capacitor safety backup power supplies, in car temperatures can often exceed 30 degree Celsius above ambient temperatures, cameras that use Lithium Polymer batteries are not safe in such harsh environments.

The direct windscreen mounted design means the camera lens is as close to the glass as physically possible, this helps to minimise dashboard reflections for consistently better image results, the mount bracket incorporates the power supply which means no cables to disconnect when removing the camera, the mount bracket also houses the GPS antenna providing the ideal location for increased reception. The chassis design is all black to offer a minimalist appearance and help to make the installation as stealth as possible which avoids attracting unwanted attention, mounting directly to the window reduces the amount of room needed to mount compared to more common suction cup mounted designs which hang down off a mount, as a result the camera often takes up much less room than other models that might otherwise appear to be smaller.
